Annual Conference

ABOUT THE CONFERENCE

The NALEO Annual Conference is different from any other professional development
gathering for elected officials. It presents a unique opportunity for them to meet with
their colleagues at all levels of government, from local school boards to the President's
Cabinet. With such a concentration of political discourse, the conference is known as
"The Latino Political Convention," a venue for the meaningful exchange of ideas and
solutions to today's most pressing policy issues.
The NALEO Annual Conference sessions this year will offer
five distinct policy tracks:

Education
Health
Financial Empowerment
Civic and Political Participation
Broadband Adoption

The Education and Health policy tracks are designed to build upon each other while following the curricula of a NALEO Policy Institute, and intensive training and professional development program. Conference attendees may wish to participate in one full Policy Institute or attend sessions in multiple institutes. This year's conference includes plenary sessions on the "2012 Elections and the Latino Electorate" and "Our Energy Future." Luncheons will focus on national leadership and will be augmented by sessions focused on governance and political empowerment.

The NALEO Annual Conference provides direct access to our nation's top executive and legislative leaders. This is an unparalleled opportunity for attendees. Participants have included the U.S. Vice President, members of the President's Cabinet, leaders of the U.S. House of Representatives and the U.S. Senate, as well as many of our nation's corporate and business leaders.
